This is often how I spend my free time - drawing for friends and family or purely for my own satisfaction. Too many important and/or amusing things can pass by in a day unrecorded and unappreciated and it’s my job as a cartoonist to try and capture these moments. Think of this as a cross between a visual diary and a cartooned photo album. I get a real kick out of doing these as do the recipients. It also gives me the opportunity to play with different mediums and techniques.
