| Medium: Pencil, Pen and Saliva. I did this way back in 1994 and there's a funny little story behind it. The theme was great but the deadline was nasty, especially since I was working full time in an animation studio at the time. The art was due on the clients desk in the morning so I penciled the illustration and did a portion of the inking at home during the midnight hours prior to falling asleep at my desk. Rushing to get to work early that morning, my only option was to finish inking and colour it on my way to work ... on the BUS ... a CROWDED bus !! All I had on me was a black ball point pen and a set of water-soluble coloured pencils ... but doh ... no water! Thus the watercolour work on this illustration was executed with SALIVA !! Nevertheless, the job was completed on time and the client was happy. Had she known what it was she was handling she may not have been as happy - perhaps about as happy as the unfortunate people who had to sit next to me on that bus! | |||||||||
